I have no real perspective but I imagine riding blind is almost like the moment just before you crash your bike, when you close your eyes and wait for the impact. 

I used to watch Zac and his younger brother Zayne ride their BMX's around and around the house. Zac would follow Zayne, riding only inches from his back wheel, just to keep him in site. Inevitably, there would be a crash, either one loosing control or wheels overlapping bringing them both down.
