	Guide Dogs Queensland GDQ educates clients about their vision loss so they are able to focus on what is achievable instead of what is not. GDQ educates the community so the needs of blind and vision impaired people in Queensland are considered and met.

Originally formed by its members in 1990 as the Australian Paralympic Federation, the Australian Paralympic Committee (APC) is the peak national body responsible for Australia’s elite athletes with a disability. The original members were Australia’s National Sporting Organisations for the Disabled. The primary goal in creating the APC was to establish a unified body to control corporate representation, participation at summer and winter Paralympic Games, marketing and public awareness.
